Promacel wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people using keyboards, screen readers, or other assistive technology.

Conformance target

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a target, not a guarantee of full conformance. See "How this has been tested" below for what that target is based on.

How this has been tested

The public website pages and key interactive journeys listed below were checked using automated accessibility testing (axe-core) against WCAG 2.1 A and AA, with zero violations found:

  • Every public page on the site
  • The header's Services dropdown menu, open
  • The mobile menu, including its nested Services dropdown, open

Colour contrast was checked against the site's actual brand palette and corrected where it fell short of the required 4.5:1 ratio for normal text. Keyboard navigation was checked for a logical tab order and visible focus indicators.

Known limitations

Automated testing is a real signal, but it only catches a portion of possible accessibility issues. It cannot judge things like whether alternative text is genuinely useful, or whether a screen reader user can complete a task without friction. The following sit outside the testing carried out so far:

  • Manual testing with a screen reader (VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS)
  • Testing with people who rely on assistive technology day to day
  • Alternative-text practice at scale, because the site uses only the Promacel logo and a small set of decorative icons, and carries no photography or informational imagery

We extend testing as the site develops.
